a year after conception

no one expects to be commemorating their child's legacy in the dust that was supposed to be their life. yet, we find ourselves in that very place. i tell you. all the complaining in the world, and maximizing of life's injustices will not bring her back. so we find things to be grateful for. the cuddle cot ceremony was exactly what i wanted it to be. intimate. meaningful. lively. powerful. and empowering. they say life takes on whole new meaning when you have children. thats not only true for parents of physically living kids. its true for us too.
